My name is Ceri Griffiths, and I'm a gym loving, Marie Kondo addicted, full time working Mum.

I grew up with this picture of what success that looked like. I focused on excelling in the “hard” subjects, not the ones I loved.

A university degree in Maths and a career in financial services all with the aim of showing I was just as good as the boys in the room.

Perspective

But I gained a different perspective as I grew older.

I was responsible for observing other advisers in their client meetings.

In one meeting I caught the eye of the female client and it hit me, this was not her space.

The seed was sown

I started to think about what a business designed for women like me would look like.

There would be no egos.

It would engage and inspire women by talking about what they value.

It would be human.

Divorce

The thought of sitting across from a business man in a suit convincing him to be my client filled me with dread.

I knew that I wanted my clients to want me.

That I wanted to work with women who needed support and expertise on their side.

I knew I wanted to be the strength in a woman's corner.

Supporting women divorcing answers all of this.

Starting Willow Brook is hands down the bravest thing I have ever done.

Leaving a stable income, and clearly defined career path was not on my plan.

But answering what was in my soul has allowed me to blossom in ways I never imagined.

I now campaign for female equality.

I support and inspire other women.

I am giving financial services a long overdue feminine shake up, so that women can feel equally at home with money as many men have done for so long.
